Breastfeeding in Public Places

Many mothers prefer the homes of friends or places with a baby room when they first go out. However, just because you are breastfeeding does not mean that you have to hide yourself and your baby when it is time to breastfeed. You can prepare yourself to recognize when your baby is hungry, as over time you will learn to recognize your baby’s cues immediately. This way you can get into a comfortable position for breastfeeding before your baby starts crying to get your attention and draws the attention of others to you.

If at first you are not comfortable breastfeeding in public, you can read a magazine or do something else after you have breastfed your baby. Sitting in a corner will give you more privacy. Also, if you are with someone, you can ask them to cover you so that not everyone can see you.

Some mothers may experience milk leakage when they have a new baby. If your nipples are sore as if milk is coming out, applying pressure on the nipple with your hand will stop the milk flow. In such cases, using super absorbent breast pads will help you.

Places suitable for breastfeeding

Some places have breastfeeding rooms for mothers. But sometimes your hungry baby may not be patient enough to wait! Remember that no one has the right to tell a mother who is breastfeeding her baby to do it in the toilet. Toilets are not suitable places for feeding either adults or babies.
